In the last few years, Small World Recruiting has gone through multiple transformations.

Where we began:

Denise started Small World Recruiting in 2014 after leaving the Logistics and Supply Chain industry, where she had worked for over a decade. She worked for prominent names in the industry: Maersk / Damco, Kuehne + Nagel, Agility, and more. Seeing first-hand that recruiters not specialized in logistics or SCM had difficulty understanding roles within the industry, she decided to make a career change, thus opening Small World Recruiting.

After opening Small World, her success was sudden and required Denise to recruit me as a Candidate Coordinator. I started part-time while in college and transitioned to full-time after graduation. In 2020, I was recruited by Amazon to help build their international logistics program, initially named Amazon Global Logistics, but has since rebranded to Global Mile.

2020 was a whirlwind for everyone. In addition to the COVID-19 pandemic and my transitioning to a corporate role, Denise also opened a non-profit cow rescue (Tennessee Cow Rescue - Samma Farm). From 2020 to 2023, we focused on those ventures.

Now in 2023, we have returned full-time to Small World. We have also increased our scope of focus by bringing on a technical recruiter, Elizabeth Baca, to focus on Supply Chain Technology and other emerging markets.

Where we are:

We have branded and continue to uphold our expertise by not only having secured industry certifications such as Lean Six Sigma Green Belts (LSSGB), Professional Resume Writing (CPRW), and Professional Interviewing (CEIP) certifications we believe in working with better candidates and placing them with better clients.

We are guided by the motto #BetterCandidates #BetterClients, because we know those two ideas work synonymously. When connected with top talent, top clients want to work with us. When top clients want to work with us, top talent is interested in hearing about those opportunities.
